Biography

Imam Muhammad Abdullah, known as The Imam of the People, is an American Imam, youth leader, and humanitarian activist from Dallas, Texas. He serves as the Director of Outreach and Youth at Masjid Al Hedayah Academy and Associate Imam at Masjid Al-Islam – the oldest mosque in North Texas.

A graduate of Dar Ul Uloom Atlanta, where he memorized the Qur’an at fourteen, he is now pursuing his Master of Divinity in Islamic Chaplaincy at Bayan Islamic Graduate School and serves as a chaplain at Children’s Health. His work bridges faith, education, and civic engagement – empowering young Muslims to live with confidence, compassion, and purpose.

As he prepares to enter public office, Imam Muhammad brings a unique Qur’anic foundation as a Hafiz to the political arena – striving to strengthen Muslim American identity, challenge Islamophobic narratives, and show the true light of Islam in the public square.
